| At 17, stopping by after school, David Miller began working for Bill and Phyllis Robinson at the Putnam Post in Culloden. He soon realized that he enjoyed the work. Learning as much as he could, David began to run the press, as well as, all that the job entailed. From ‘layout’ of the paper to inserting circulars to delivering the paper to the Post Offices , David knew every detail of the paper business.. and many, many times did not leave the office, until the paper was ‘put to bed’ as Bill Robinson would say. David continued with P.C Publishing until the business was sold.. and, then began working with the ‘Standards’. Soon, David will mark his 32nd year anniversary in the newspaper business! David lives in Culloden and has two children, Tabitha and Brandon |

| Trudy Black was born in Milton… and has never left! As a matter of fact, she has never lived outside of Milton’s City Limits. Trudy has always enjoyed the little town of ‘Milton-on-the-Mud’. She attended Milton schools and graduated from the old Milton High School in 1976. She always loved journalism class, but had no idea that someday she would be working at a newspaper. Trudy began working for Phyllis and William O. Robinson at the Putnam Post (Culloden) - and as she did with her hometown – she never left. Having worked for 20+ years with the Robinson’s, Trudy continues to work with the “Standards”. As of 2009, she will have close to 23 years in the newspaper business. As one who loves to write (without any formal training), Trudy will occasionally pick up a pen and write an article or two - however, her actual job with the “Standard” is Office Manager/Accounts Receivable. |
