Jack E. O'Neal, 94, of St. Albans
Jack E. O'Neal, 94, of St. Albans, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2008, at his residence.
He was retired from Union Carbide Corporation with 39 years of service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of St. Albans and a member of the Washington Masonic Lodge # 58 A.F. & A.M., St. Albans. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II, and a lifelong resident of St. Albans.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Helen M. O'Neal; granddaughter, Leslie Ann O'Neal; and parents, John C. and Delia Lively O'Neal.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, John E. and Robin O'Neal of St. Albans; sisters, Betty Harrison of Phoenix, Ariz., and Wanda Bowen of Eleanor. Also surviving are his grandson, Jonathan Cory O'Neal of Morgantown; and granddaughter, Whitney Leigh O'Neal of St. Albans.
A graveside service was held Monday, October 20, 2008, at Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans, with the Rev. Joel M. Harpold officiating. Masonic rites were conducted by Washington Masonic Lodge # 58 AF & AM, St. Albans.
