Mrs. Eloise Stover Tustin, 92, of St. Albans

Mrs. Eloise Stover Tustin, 92, of St. Albans died Tuesday, October 21, 2008, at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.

Born June 17, 1916, in Beckley, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Lucy Roe Stover. She was also preceded in death by her husband, H. C. Tustin; her son, Clint Tustin; her brother, Donald Stover; and her sister, Helen Fryer.

Eloise was retired from FMC Corporation, Nitro, where she served as an assistant to the general manager. Following her retirement, she continued to work with the AFL-CIO. From 1945 to 1959, she developed a love and a talent for archery and held the honor of West Virginia State Champion for Women in this field. Following this period in her life, she became an accomplished trap shooter, having been honored with articles by outdoor writer, John McCoy, at ages 72 and 82.

Survivors include her daughter, Rheta Tarpley of St. Albans; her brother, Gene Stover and his wife, Louise, of St. Petersburg, Fla.; her grandchildren, Jodi Gardner and her husband, Eric, of East Bank, Kathy Snyder and her husband, Tim, of Cross Lanes, Scott Tustin of Ohio and Cheyene Tustin and Mahala Tustin, both of Oregon; and seven great-grandchildren.

Service were held Friday, October 24, at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, St. Albans. Burial in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.
