Jacqueline E. Shafer, 82, of Scott Depot
Jacqueline E. Shafer, 82, of Scott Depot passed away Sunday, October 19, at her son's home, surrounded by her family.
She was born on April 13, 1926, in Charleston and had retired from Compro Systems after 22 years of service. Jacqueline was a member of Elk Hills Presbyterian Church, Charleston. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Shafer, and daughter, Toni Harrah.
She is survived by her son and daughter in-law, Mike and Juanita Shafer of Winfield; grandchildren, Kayla Amos and husband, Austin, of Hurricane, Christopher Shafer of Winfield and Kelly Shafer of Winfield; great-grandchildren, Michael Tate, Hadlee Ray and Shafer Ty Amos, all of Hurricane; half sister, Ramona Marks of Ohio; and a dear friend, Sabrina McNeel of Winfield.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 21, at Chapman Funeral Home, Hurricane, with the Rev. Nancy White officiating. A private family burial was held in Mount Vernon Cemetery, Hurricane.
