Hurricane High School's 'Dynamic Duo' claim victories at Gazette Relays

CHARLESTON - Hurricane High School's " Dynamic Duo" of seniors Alex Dent and Josie Crouch thrilled the crowd at the 75th Gazette Relays, both racing to victories.
On Friday, Dent ran a 10:57 in the 8-lap 3200 meters to capture 1st place honors. On Saturday, she ran 5:04 in the 4-lap 1600 meters to also capture 1st place honors.
Previously, Josie Crouch ran 58.8 in the 400 meters to capture 1st place honors and later, Crouch ran 2:15 in the 800 meters to capture her second 1st place finish.
Overall the girl's team top four finishers were: 1. Buckgannon Upshur, 120 points. 2. Jefferson 101. 3. Morgantown 72. 4. Hurricane, 70.
